  1. I would say no, Air-Fryer chips don’t taste the same, not as tasty as oven-chips or deep-fryer. Air-Fryer chips are more hard/tough texture. However ,I would recommend Sweet-potato fries (homemade ) these are delicious and crispy in the Air-Fryer ,and quick . I would stay away from Normal potato fries

  2. They cost like 50 quid or something, not exactly a fancy purchase!

But yeah, I swear by the thing, haven’t turned on the oven in I don’t know how long, air friers and a halogen, job done.

  3. I got an air fryer 6 months ago and I chop up spuds and cover them in duck fat, twice a day, everyday. Its brilliant. Air fryer blew a fuse today for some reason. If it’s broke I’ll buy another one and still feel like I got my money’s worth. Faster than the oven and easier.

  4. A question for the air fryer experts cooking chips. Can you cook frozen McCain oven chips in these and get good results like in the gas oven? Which cheaper frozen chips does anyone recommend?

Another question, I cook oven chips at gas mark 8 on the second from top shelf and some processed chicken steaks two shelves below as they are rated as gas mark 6. I’m guessing you can’t you have two temperature zones with an air fryer so would running two air fryers cost more or less than the single gas oven?
