Went to IKEA to buy some stuff, Staff member from Sweden said these are very popular in Sweden. Is it true or she just bluffing ?

  1. The daim thats a whole bar is a thousand times better. The chocolate/almondbrittle ratio is perfect in the big ones.

  2. Daim was one of the first words I learned as a kid and they’re one of my favorite kinds of candy. Every time I’m at ikea I have to stop myself from grabbing a couple of those bags. I literally wished for some for Christmas one year.

  3. I just so happen to be eating Daim right now, but the full size version. Yes – it’s popular and has been for a long time.

  4. It’s true, everyone from the age of kids to grannys love Daim and I think it’s also relative common to get in USA as well.

  5. Daim is amazing.

Fun fact, some people use the word “daimcross” or Daimkryss in Swedish to describe the word asshole.

  6. No lie . Daim(Dajm as i fondly remember them) is the best. Daim ice cream is a favourite too…daim kulor is another. Daim chocolate. Ok I’m going to ICA now

Oh and screw all other limited edition flavours , original or nothing

  7. In the icecream there are small daim pebbles. That has given rise to the sayin – its better with a fist full of daim pebbles, then a fist in your daim!!

  8. Grew up eating Daim. This candy is no joke. Especially to children. Haven’t had them in a while now, but seeing this post got me in the mood now. Eating Ahlgren’s bilar instead as we speak

  9. It’s not everyones taste, for sure. But there is nothing wrong with them.

Daim comes as chocolate bars, small pebble candy, ice cream with the small pebbles in it and cake (think mud cake but with glacing) and is quite popular to chop up and use as DIY cake filling.

These small snacks-sized ones are quite handy.

Not my favourite, but I don’t mind eating one or two if offered.

  10. You can also try chopping/crushing them a bit into small pieces and mix them with vanilla ice cream.

  11. YES! When my young cousins came from Sweden for an extended visit, and were a little homesick, we went to IKEA and they loaded up on Daim.

    They were instantly happy.😊

  12. Yes, they’re fairly popular and you can find them in pretty much any grocery store. However people don’t usually buy those bags because here in Sweden we have something called “lösviktsgodis”. Lösviktsgodis is a weird thing that we have in literally every store, you basically take a bag and mix different types of candy into one bag, the price depends on how much your bag weighs. Personally I’ve never seen any different flavors so I don’t think it’s a common thing, but there is a VERY popular chocolate brand in Sweden that pretty much dominates the Swedish chocolate market that has a “Daim flavor” which is also very popular, the brand is called “Marabou”. If you want the true swedish candy experience I recommend that you buy Marabou since it’s probs the most popular swedish candy and I’m pretty sure that you can get it from Amazon.
