Everybody wants to reduce costs and increase benefits. Anything new under the sun? Of course not.

Ticket offices should either be massively scaled back or eliminated entirely – they aren’t an efficient use of public funds.
And they don’t exist purely to keep jobs around just for the sake of having jobs either.

Thing is, they closed the ticket office at chesham (end of the met line) with this exact argument and it’s a complete pain now if there’s any sort of problem because they were the only staff
