>The aggregated data – compiled from 200 sources in 17 European countries initially – indicates that an estimated 100 million screening tests were not performed while up to half of all cancer patients were affected by treatment delays. What’s more, as many as 1 million Europeans could be living with undiagnosed cancer.
The effects on the mortality rate will be evident in few years and the number of deaths will be probably higher than covid.
THANKS GENIUSES! WOOO YEAHHH LET’S RESPECT EVERYOONEEEE ALL OPINIONS MATTERRRR i would’ve LOVED to have someone with cancer die because of a fucking idiot who thinks they’re getting more cellular reception with the vaccine!! WOOO!!!
Oncologists furious
Yeah you have hospitals focusing on treating the fucking flu that kills less than 1%.
Letting people with real ailments die.
Fucking shit.
Good. Fuck cancer treatment, the only thing that matters now is covid. If you disagree you’re an anti vaxxer!
> But it’s fine it only kills old people. Me a young in my 20′, I won’t be affected by it at all, I barely have any risks to die…
Wow imagine a pandemic that brings health infrastructure to their knee. It’s definitely worth not putting a bit of cloth in front of your mouth and maybe not going out. Tired of the egoistical reactions people have.
My father has been more and more upset about all of the covid’s restrictions. I learned last weekend that he lost a friend to cancer because he couldn’t be treated properly.
What? Are there other healthcare problems besides Covid?
COVID, even written in uppercase, is not responsible for this.
That covid in the thumbnail do be looking kinda thicc tho
Professor Karol Sikora has being saying this for months and months.
He’s on Twitter if you’re interested.
Too bad that is a tragedy
My mother‘s just been dignosed with breast cancer, and I worry about treatment delays due to some selfish c**t taking up an ICU bed that she may need post-surgery.
That’s what happens when you dismiss NPIs, refuse to wear masks and refuse to shut down borders.
Love how people are blaming the limited beds and whatnot. This is a cost of the lockdown. Cancer patients aren’t treated in the ICU and don’t usually use ventilators. It’s a side effect of strict restrictions in medical settings especially around the at-risk groups like cancer patients.
