I made a graphic to show how the many seats in the german parliament have changed over the years.
I’ve done this for other countries and Germany actually has a pretty low number of parties who have, at some point, gained at least one seat in parliament, because of the 5% threshold parties need to reach to start gaining a meaningful amount of seats.
