  1. Is the beautiful plant also included? If you include it then we would be 75% employed in agriculture. 🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱

  2. Interesting how given that only 2.5% of French work in agriculture they place such high importance on getting so high agricultural subsidies from CAP. And how much importance they put to fishing rights in Brexit negotiations, not sure if fishermen are counted in the 2.5%.

  3. And yet they have such a huge lobby in the Netherlands and own 70% of the land. 2% of the population…

  4. Portugal used to be a very rural country until some decades ago, kids would do 4th grade and go work in the farms. I’m surprised it’s only 5%

  5. Does this account for illegal workers? Because it’s definitely a thing here in Italy, unfortunately

  6. I assume that the real percentage of agricultural employment in Poland is closer to that of Czechia and Slovakia. Due to financial ‘optimalization’ and other reasons, many people are farmers ‘on paper’ just to pay less for social security. I for example had to become “farmer” to buy land to build house.

  7. Surprised that France, Spain, and Italy are so low relatively speaking. I would have thought the world’s leading wine producers are a bit higher.

  8. As of February 2020 the number of people working in agriculture in Turkey was 4 million 157 thousand people (4.89%)

This number is less than half of that as of today due to a lot of farmers shutting down business because of bankruptcy and increasing fuel, fertilizer and seed prices.

  9. as I understand this map doesn’t take in count workers from other countries? like Ukrainian works in Poland, GB etc on season works in the agriculture.

  10. I hate the fact that there’s no data for Vatican City. Pretty sure it would be on top with 0% farmers.
