A return to shift allowance which shouldn’t have been done away with in the first place and a one off bonus.
8% is pretty good but it being “worth 13%” is bullshit. One time bonuses are shite.
An 8% pay rise (not a 13% pay rise) at a time when inflation is running at 9-12%.
It’s good that they got a pay bump and that their bosses offered them a package that they felt they could accept. But let’s not pretend that these workers were asking for anything unreasonable!
So, strike action *works*? In 2022? But I thought it was a mere vestige of the 1970s!!
Wow… still looking forward to my potentially 2% 🙂
Still plenty of other groups preparing to strike though. Let’s hope other unions can do as well or even better.
