The army is full of sexual assault. Even between men as initiations and hazing. Its become normal and its completely not.
How come a military is recruiting teenagers? (not talking about dictatorships now)
If only the boys would also report it you’d be shocked.
teenage girls are not safe in male dominated environments at present. We keep sending vulnerable girls under false promises of egalitarianism, hoping that they’ll martyr their self worth to make life better for the next generation of women.
We package it up as a Joan of arc story, and it makes me sick.

The military has had massive problems with misogyny, racism and homophobia for decades now.
But people get shouted down for pointing it out because the same people are voluntarily heading into war zones and potentially risking their life “for Queen and country” so your average person isn’t allowed to criticise them, about anything.
It’s awful. And people wonder why so many women don’t want to join the army. We hear about things like this and go “nope”.

It’s good to see that more people are reporting this kind of behaviour, even if it shouldn’t ever need to happen in the first place.
If soldiers lack the self control to not rape or sexually assault their own colleagues it really makes you fear for what they do in a warzone to innocent civilians.
Removing an avenue of consensual sexual activity will surely help morale.

Sounds like being a teenage girl in general, to then be in an environment like this just intensifies it. Very sad.
When the army were still in my town and I was at school, most of the girls lost their virginity to a soldier at 14.
The abuse is likely at the same level with better reporting. The fact of the abuse is bad but the better reporting is good news.
I’m genuinely curious about “teenage” girls serving. How old do you have to be in Britain to serve?
they’ve sent you to die for oil which benefits only private corporations and politicians owning the shares, and made you believe you fight for your country
