These older lads standing at the Spire, they do an hour every Tuesday. Huge respect to them

  1. I asked the gent in the center if they’d be there all day, and he says “no son, it’s GRANDFATHERS against racism, can’t be out that long” hahaha

  2. Massive respect to them for tackling this issue. There are many people who don’t want to admit there is a racism issue in Ireland and that while Irish people are an oppressed nation, they still do benefit from global white supremecy and the exploitation of the global south.

One can easily see this contradiction by how the Ukrainian people were treated when coming here for asylum versus how people from the global south get treated for asylum. You only need to look into the dire conditions for direct provision to see how this manifests.

  3. That’s great to see. Not all, but some of that generation can be very racist. Good to see them that active about it.

  4. I live in Japan now, but I fondly remember seeing them every so often when I was living in Dublin a few years back!! Up with this sort of thing!

    Thanks for reminding me OP!
