Why is it that so many judges care only about offenders and never the victim? At some point, some judge needs to think about the deterrent a custodial sentence might have on other young scumbags. Instead of letting them all away scott free without even a slap on the wrist. I won’t hold my breath though. These judges are completely isolated from the impact of violent thuggery. If I had my way I’d forced them all onto the red line luas and other, euphemistically named, anti-social behaviour blackspots.
You’d also wonder why there were so few cases arising from this incident and the lead up to it. This article states that *”The court was shown video footage taken from the body cam of a security guard, who was ushering the boys and their bikes off the train and telling them: “Stop acting the bollox.””* Obviously holding any of them to account for whatever thuggery they were up on the train would be completely unreasonable in a civilised society.
I’m sure he learned his lesson, and will never threaten any body for absolutely no reason every again.
Meanwhile some poor fucker got sentenced to 3 months in jail for growing weed.

There is an industry whereby lawyers – all of whom are mates with the judges – get paid to shuffle the paperwork as scumbags rack up 50,100, 200 convictions. All the paper shuffling of course subsidised by legal aid.

My next door neighbour, her son 16 was stabbed 2 years ago and the kid 15 who stabbed him was released on bail and is still roaming the streets, acting like a hard man. He broke one of his his bail conditions and nothing happened.
Somewhere there is an Irish newspaper saying we must defend this kid as his football trainer says he’s a gifted player loved by his teammates

Two of those lads involved gave a severe hiding to a elderly fella in Kilbarrack Dart Station in March.Absolute scum of the highest order.
This was a global news story and the best opportunity to make an example and sort this ever growing problem with these teens running riot. Had an encounter myself on the train today with a few teens who were smoking on the train and thought it was hilarious to roar at people passing by to make them jump. Care free, because of sentences (or lack of) like these. Infuriating.
Did Nolan hand down the sentences to this cunt and the Garda who abuses his partner for 4 years on the same day? Sad day for victims of abuse. If I was a victim and I saw Nolan is presiding over the case I would lose my shit.
