This is all the fault of the French, checking passports, making sure British citizens aren’t overstaying their 90 day allowance in the EU. The French are even checking goods coming into their country. Who do they think they are, taking back control of their border in this way?
We didn’t vote to leave the EU to be treated like bloody foreigners.

Reading the BBC live text, lots of people seemingly without kids getting caught up in this. My only question is why the hell would you choose to travel now just as school is out. You’ve got the vast majority of the year to travel during term times, why make yourself suffer by travelling out of term. Makes no sense, plus it’s more expensive.
I don’t have kids, and rest assured am I fuck bothering with holidays outside of term times

A deal has been struck with the French border force to man 50% extra passport booths, which are being installed before the summer getaway weekend of 22-24 July.
