Three years, so he’ll serve at most two. Attaboy, judge Nolan, you absolute fucking hero.
Hope the lads in prison get to know him very well….
The testimony was extremely disturbing. If all this gets is 3 and a bit years its sending a clear message to other abusers that even if you get caught you’ve pretty much nothing to worry about. Nolan should be removed from the bench for this ridiculous level of on going leniency.
Why does he have to resign? Why isn’t he sacked?
I know the victim personally and can say the journalists are being respectful by not writing some of the more sadistic things he did.
The whole situation is disgusting.
So slightly longer sentence than the man dealing cannabis in Cork. Sure, seems reasonable. When I read that it was Martin Nolan presiding over the case I was pretty much expecting it though.
Look at his picture, remember his face.
Nothing worse than a scorned guard
Not All Cops Are Bastards, just quite a lot of them.
What is wrong with a person who can perpetuate such nastiness and cruelty on someone else e?
Can someone explain to me why he should get less time because guards generally suffer more in prison? Or that he pled guilty?
Policemen and politicians etc should be held to a much higher standard than the general public and suffer harsher penalties for criminal behaviour due to the inherent power they have.
