Hello everyone,

In the hot days I came across the following hidden gem: https://kwaliteitzwemwater.be . I was wondering which other useful websites exist for Belgian citizens and started to assemble an “awesome list” like they exist for IT technologies at https://gitlab.com/MartenBE/awesome-belgium . Do you know similar hidden gems or handy online resources for Belgian citizens? Please let me know or place a pull request 🙂

At the moment there are still some caveats:

* It is hard to draw a line between a useful link and a not so useful link. At the moment the bar is not that high and I/We will filter it through after a while when the list has grown.
* The links are skewed to dutch websites as I am Flemish, so Walloon contributions are also very welcome.

Hopeful it is or will become a helpful resource for someone out there.

  3. Not sure if that counts as “handy”, but I find Brussels’ [Inventaris van het bouwkundig erfgoed](https://monument.heritage.brussels/nl) amazing. I love architecture and every time I see an interesting building in Brussels, I check this website. It gives information about the construction date, the architect, a bit of historical context…

  4. [https://search.arch.be/](https://search.arch.be/); register for a free account and you can search digitized copies of microfilms of all civil registry records pre-1910, and church records predating the French Revolution. Great for ancestral research.

  5. /u/MartenBE : Not sure if I should be proud of you for using i3, or disappointed because you use nano….

Anyways, about the list: I like the idea, but imho if you want to make something like this, it should only be sources of data. Currently you have websites such as hln.be and a trade website for airsoft gear on there. If you include those, you can just as well include every single .be site in the repo…
