Is it possible to buy somewhere not over priced natural bread kvas? Something like that on a picture, because it was hella good.

  1. Kvass is not a thing in Poland, but supermarkets like Auchan carry 2-3 different types (imports). You could also try searching online (on Allegro and elsewhere).

Another option is to make it yourself – there’s lots of recipes online, but finding some ingredients (mostly the Eastern black bread) would be difficult. I made it once and it was decent, but then I switched to ciders.

  2. Yeah, I think I always got mine in Auchan. You can get a Obolon plum flavored, or classic Betex, but I can’t find those anymore. They did go up in price lately. I used to get them for like 2.50 PLN.

If not that, just some small ukrainian store. They are pretty much in every city.

  3. Depends on where you are you can find in auchan or carrefour or even in some biedronkas.

  4. Kvas is sold in some markets and shops as “Kwas chlebowy”. Sometimes among Polish brands there are sold Obolons or some Lithuanian brands. But this brand is first to see. People also like “Podpiwek” – it’s cereal coffe based drink.

Kvas isn’t hard to prepare @ home: just take an old bread and make toasts, crush it in oieces add some water & sugar and put it into the jar for some 3-5 days. Rest is your’s recipe You’ll just need strong bootles (better with ceramic cap), but also plastic PET would be siutable.

You may buy “Podpiwek” spices at many shops. I recommend Anatol cereal coffe for Podpiwek, it suits the taste of hop. It’s delicious on hot days.

  5. That brand is not really available in Poland, but you can buy kvass in bigger markets. You can easily buy Lithuanian, Ukrainian and Polish kvasses. Also, you can check out the [best-market](https://best-market.pl/) (or other Ukrainian / Russian shop) if you want wider range of brands.
