I like the last two sentences, they’re hilarious. Two weeks ago there were articles from government press with titles like “Greece is already under occupation”, “Does the Greek PM want war with Turkey” etc etc.

At least both Greeks and Turks can laugh with Erdogan’s media.

Cavusoglu’s having an episode in the last few days though. Greece closed 4 minority schools in Thrace, so he’s been screaming that we’re trying to destroy the Muslim minority.

Greece closed 31 schools in Thrace only, ones that had less than 9 students. 4 minority ones, and 29 non-minority ones. Plus tens more in the rest of the country.

  2. “Ankara has prepared new letters of complaint against Greece that it plans to send to the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and to the European Union, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Wednesday.
“They lie and slander without shame. They feel politically obliged to attack Turkey every day,” Cavusoglu said in comments to Turkish broadcaster TV 100, going back on the offensive against Athens.

Cavusoglu also lashed out at Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, saying that the sole purpose of his trip to Washington last May was “to accuse Turkey,” while also charging the Greek authorities with “supporting terrorism.”

Cavusoglu also indicated that **the letters which will be sent to the UN and EU seek to challenge Greece’s territorial waters and national airspace**, while **he reiterated Ankara’s claims regarding the demilitarization of several islands in the eastern Aegean**.

**He even went on to accuse Greece of harboring terrorists**.”

NATO, you have a country run by Erdogan, an old conservative autocrat who is accusing another NATO country of being a threat and hosting terrorists…care to make that old fool clam down? The world has bigger problems right now (Putin wanting to start WW3 and the Climate Crisis).

  3. Where would we even fit those training centres though?

Greece really doesn’t have that much empty space, and the army bases themselves are filled with conscripts anyways.

    There would be endless leaks!

  4. Polling numbers must have reached all time critical levels so what’s better than to attack (verbally) Greece. This sure rallies the masses.
