If you are on 36k you probably need to double that wage to live in Dublin. Just because you work in Leinster House doesn’t make you overpaid. Even TDs are probably not overpaid just don’t deliver on the role.
At first I thought they were over claiming hours but in April 2020 covid was just kicking off so I’d imagine there was a lot of overtime needed.
36k in Dublin is not a lot so I’m sure they were glad of the extra money
Ah yes the concept of being paid for every hour worked , good for them.
If only that could be forced on the private sector it might bring some of the multinationals to heel with their refusal to pay overtime as your a “salaried” employee .
