Poor fella, I can only imagine the horrors he’s seen living in Dundalk.
Whenever I read one of these articles, the first thing I ask myself is would I do the same to give my family safety if it came to it?
The answer is most usually yes.
Glad they didn’t deport the doctor from the article.
I mean, maybe two or three times a week, this sub will have a post from an Irish person asking where’s the best place to emigrate to right now.
Like, when times got tough a decade ago and we were in a dire recession, lads and ladies understandably fled to Oz and the US and the UK and Canada. Whisper it softly but many of them don’t always do that legally (speaking from experience, I reckon I could list 7 lads I know who have gone to the US and made lives for themselves illegally).
I’m not advocating for it, but I often wonder how many of our own who shout about non-irish coming over here and questioning the validity of their reason for doing so, know a few lads and ladies who went to another country illegally but would make excuses as to why that’s different…
Anyway, to the top commenters point, would I do everything I can to give my kids a good life, absolutely I would. If it meant I had to flee to somewhere else I would. Luckily, I don’t have to flee, so I volunteer in my community to make it better in whatever way I can. Wish more people did them same tbh.
Foods better.

Total abuse of the system.
