  1. I would assume this is an outlier and not representative of the Dublin rental market. It’s either a typo, or the landlord is being wildly optimistic. Upper bound I couldn’t see this going for more than €5,000 a month. If I’m wrong though, then f*** me…

  2. I don’t really see the problem. If someone is willing to rent it at that price then they aren’t trying to rent somewhere else, and aren’t swimming in the same pool as more normal folks. Not every property ever built has to be aimed at me.

  3. This isn’t for a regular buyer.

This is geared for the likes of high level directors of multi nationals who’ll come over for a couple of years to oversee things.

I worked for a MNC who have one factory in Ireland and I forget the title but his position was the one where the top guy at the Ireland factory reported into.

Everything was taken care of for him, housing, car etc.

In fact the manager in the factory, when a house was found for him they hired the contract cleaners used in the factory to do a deep clean on the rental, which was in good condition already.

  4. Ranelagh was cheap bedsit territory many decades back, but with rent that expensive, comparing even to London makes no sense, better to compare to somewhere like San Francisco instead.

  5. Who the feck is renting that? The bloc is ugly as fuck, it’s only 4 bedrooms and they want 2.5k per room!? This country is a disgrace, going back straight into the wall! The Celtic tiger has been murder more than once now by the Irish politicians
