I’m visiting Germany with my girlfriend this weekend, we’re spending 2 nights in Munich, with one night in Stuttgart sandwiched between the Munich nights.

I read online about the Quer-Durchs-Land-Ticket. It says travel everywhere in Germany for as long as the card is active, and it costs around €40.

It says on the bahn website I can buy 1 ticket and that will cover up to 4 guests.

My question is: If I buy this ticket, will that work to bring myself and my girlfriend from Munich hbf to Stuttgart hbf on Saturday? Do we just show up and get on whatever train is next up and this one ticket for €40 covers us both?

Also, does that same ticket then cover for any ubhan and sbhan travelling while it is active?

I just don’t want to mess this up so I needed to ask here to be sure. Thank you.

Edit: https://www.bahn.com/en/offers/regional/day-ticket-for-germany the website for the ticket in question

  1. Go for the 9€ ticket instead, it is basicly the same ticket, but is only 9€ per person and is valid for the whole kalender month. If you buy it this week, it will be valid till sunday, you need a new one for august on monday.
