An SS sergeant is forced to bury victims in a mass grave following the arrival of British soldiers. The troops found approximately 13000 unburied bodies when arrived, Bergen-Belsen, 1945. [1536 × 1515].

  1. I’d’ve make him dig graves for every single dead body. No sleep, no food, no nothing, until he’s done. If he needs a rest he can lie next to the rotting bodys.

  2. I stopped at the memorial between Stadt Bergen and Stadt Belsen one day. I had seen Dachau several times previously but was moved by the simple memorial of the KZ. If I remember correctly, there were 14 mass graves containing 5000 bodies each. No visitor center, no barracks. Just the graves laid out in two rows.
