Don’t know what’s going on in the UK, but surely the only name for this is a poly pocket, no?

  1. I always called them Poly Pocket, poly and plastic i guess, maybe im wrong, but always knew them by poly pocket

  2. I don’t even remember what I call these in my native languages. It’s just a thing, an object, a sleeve. You’ll call it whatever you feel like and no meaning will be lost ha?

  3. I’m Irish, lived on England for a while. I once called it a poly pocket to my boss and he looked at me like I had two heads and said “a what?”
I said “the plastic thing you put sheets of paper in”
    He says “a plastic pocket?”

I just then realised how childish it kind of sounds.

  4. Isn’t poly just another name for plastic? Polyester, polystyrene, polyurethane etc..

So poly/plastic pocket is the same. Case closed your honour

  5. I know someone I used to work with, she has a different name, she calls it “document holder” or “plastic sheets” and she hates the the term polypocket because it was referring to a toy ,Polly Pocket.
