If only there were a technology where overall capacity could be increased by mounting some kind of panel on residential homes.
Sarcasm aside, while PV’s aren’t a total panacea they still add to the total generation capacity of the network and they will offset the EV needs of the homes that have them. The fact that the new feed in tariff’s haven’t been implemented going in to the third year of government with the Greens in it just shows the total indifference of the state towards microgeneration. Demand will only increase and between the states desire to have both datacentres and EV’s but it doesn’t seeming want to do anything about this.
