If the Ukrainian army crosses the UN agreed deconfliction line with a large force, Russia will definitely cross the Ukrainian border, enter the rebel areas and wipe out the Ukrainian army. The only question then is whether Russia will decide to keep rolling west along the Black Sea coast to secure Ukraine’s other Russian speaking areas.
I can’t see nato being willing or able to get in the way of the Russians, but if they decide to they’ll need to vote overnight to make Ukraine a nato member. Even then I don’t think that will stop the Russians and it’ll take too long to mobilise more than a token US rapid response force, which the Russians would roll-over, which would then trigger the first war between two nuclear superpowers.
Might be time to do some yoga stretches, because if the US and Russia start shooting at each other we’ll all need to bend over to kiss our arses goodbye.
125000 troops is not half of ukrainian army. I do not even mention reserved people but even regarding active part of army it is way smaller than half.
