Duolingo’s grammar in Polish is a hellscape…

  1. Polish grammar is overall a nightmare to learn, even for some native speakers, i’m mostly talking about special characters and long words

  2. Kurs polskiego na Duolingo jest tragiczny. Dlaczego na kursie niemieckiego są lekcje o tym jak zamówić w knajpie piwo albo sznycel, a polski serwuje zdania w stylu ,,Inna polityka jest możliwa” albo “Krew jest czerwona jak wino”?

  3. The subject is in the most basic singular nominative case and the verb is in present tense in the regular indicative mood, and there is only one aspect in Polish for present tense. So how is this an example of a hellscape? 😅

  4. So, how is it going? Is Polish “extremely hard” or just “hard”? I’m curious.
You can DM me if you need some help.

  5. I find the word “dziewczynka” quite an awkward choice. No clue why duolingo uses the diminutive, I’d never use it apart from when the target is very young.

  6. Wtf? OC-KCH?

For those of you who don’t know, OC-KCH… Is o co Kurwa chodzi!

  7. Im Polish and the 2 first sentences doesn’t even make sens

  8. u/rivenofthe1kcheeses this is what I have to put up with… help.

  9. Currently learning polish using duolingo, what’s wrong with this?
