Crimean War is probably most forgotten major conflict in Europe.
Really, this conflict cost lives over 500 000 people, is one of first cases of industrialized warfare and shift power balance on continent (UK and France start cooperate after centuries of fighting each other which lead to signing Entente Cordiale, Ottoman Empire start rot inside which lead to revolutions in Balkans, Russia start reforms and was close to rform itself into constitutional monarchybut also their influence in european politics start slipping etc).
Looks like a powder magazine going up on tht one ship.Very cool.
And we would have gotten Constantinople too, if not for yu meddling Brits!
Let the Thunder of Victory rumble!
The last time in history the Russian navy was competent!
To get owned by Ottomans with the additional forces of Brits and French. Russia took a big fat L from this one for sure.
Black Sea
Bogolyubov is ok, but nothing beats Aivazovsky’s paintings in my heart when it comes to the sea.
