The lad who starred in it seriously rated himself. Remember him being interviewed on the radio, claiming he’d be the next Chuck Norris, only deadlier.
He is so skilled he made sure that the gun toting barman only clinked the glasses upon impact, so not to make a mess 🤣
Your man’s still there running Kiely’s in Trim, a very nice lad. He said Bennett got doing security for Rhianna, and won’t let them show the film now, as they used to occasionally. Not sure on what basis.
I can’t stop laughing

James Bennet is living proof that you can make it as a bit part extra in b grade martial artist movies and a bodyguard for stars if you spend 30 years keeping your dream alive. Fair play to him though ha better than cutting turf
If anyone knows where I can get a physical copy (DVD or VHS) of this film please hit me up. Been looking for years to no avail.
It’s the greatest thing I’ve ever seen.
And also, fair play to Bennett. He went and made a film that is enjoyed today and got to work with people like Van Damme as a result of it
Always wanted an over-under, maybe someday
Best line in it for me is still “You’re making me look bad… And that’s not good”
Wasn’t there talk of a sequel recently?
Haven’t watched it in a few years. I’ll be watching it later. It’s the best movie ever.
This is not the martial arts film we deserve, it’s the martial arts film we need
Was very surprised when the youtube channel Accented Cinema made a [video essay about it](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9glNC399F0).
Opening scene of taffin is up there (needless amounts of tables and chairs broken)
Graham Geraghty (Meath footballer) is one of the lads in the karate competition at the end
The greatest Irish film of all time alongside Taffin
Here’s the OSW Review of it:

Title says the vest 14 seconds in Irish Cinematic History. Yet it not a scene from Caca Milis. Bullshit
I think giving this man his gun back may have some defensive flaws.
