Jesus Christ. Lock this one up. She sounds like a psychopath.
Ben Stokes was banned from cricket for a period for *defending someone* in an altercation that looked like a fight. *Just for being involved* he was considered to be “bringing the sport into disrepute.”
This girl should get at least a year’s ban for attacking her teammate.
This is why these teams should ban political gesturing before a match.
She should be permanently banned

100% should this woman be prosecuted for her vile attack on her teammate (and racial abuse).
But the above quoted bit does seem a bit iffy as well… Why, if kneeling was voluntary, would you feel the need to “confront” a teammate who is not kneeling? Only rational explanation is that Jasmine (victim of attack) knew that Bryonie was like this deep down so it was less about kneeling and more “why you a piece of shit?”. But even then it’s a bit of a stretch.
The likelier scenario is that Jasmine was being a bit militant with it and, through her own shitty behaviour, railroaded Bryonie into doing what she did. Absolutely not excusing Bryonie, but that whole kneeling saga was a bit of a shit-show.
I can’t wait to read some autobiographies in 10+ years time of current footballers tbh. There is, IMO, a fair chance that at least some were told something like “shut up and kneel or you’ll be benched for the rest of the season and sold off in the summer for ruining our team’s message of unity”.
I think i know what happened here. The story I read said the black player confronted the white player over not kneeling. They tried to discuss it over text and then the black player invited the white player to her room to discuss it. She had friends waiting there with her (backup I am sure – did she already plan or anticipate violence?). The white girl still refused to accept kneeling and the black player got angry and yelled at the white player to get our which she did. Then the black player chased her down in the hallway. Supposedly she was just leaving herself and happened to meet the white girl on the way out. I’m sure this is where her story is seriously deviating from reality. She obviously chased the white player down and put her hands on her in her “righteous” anger over her tantrum about kneeling. The white girl defended herself and the black girl is now playing the victim and race baiting. This sort of thing happens ALL THE TIME. It’s beyond ridiculous as this point. Crybullies getting violent and then playing victim after the fact, often fabricating the n-word as justification for their violence. They are actually prosecuting the girl that didn’t kneel. I hope this ends in acquittal.
