Construction work begins in Germany on road and rail tunnel to Denmark Tags:Europe 6 comments Very cool. €7 Billion seems “cheap” for such a big piece of infrastructure too. The time-savings seem great. Currently it takes 45 min on a ferry (plus extra time to load and unload) Withe the tunnel it will just be 10 minutes. Hopefully the toll won’t be crazy expensive. The boat currently costs €150 for a round trip… Finally! Surprised this wasn’t done earlier, the distance seems rather short. Don’t worry Denmark. We will only take 30+years. If someone complains that it destroys their view, than it will take 40+years. Just checking, has anyone told the Danes? Germans have a history of surprise visits after all. Edit: minus 6? LOL,, what a bunch of humourless babies. Leave a ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
