Finland to target households with energy saving campaign

  1. Remember that it’s usually everything heat related that really matters, so most important tips are:

    1. Room temperature. Use wool socks and lower the room temperature (thermostats) to 18…20C or even lower.
    2. Have quick showers and prefer a bit lower temperature.

With the current pricing it’ll save you some serious money and it also hits Putin where it hurts.

  2. For a sustainable solution, I’ve been thinking more and more about setting up a full solar power setup. Then you no longer have to care about electricity prices.

  3. Copies from the German energy saving campaign:

Get a water saving shower head.

    Defrost your freezer.

Increase the temperature of your air condition (mostly targeted at offices and shops).

Take puplic transport of the bike instead of the car.

Funnily enough the speed limit is still a holy cow for one of the coalition partners.
