Why the fuck did the Tories think Nurses should take a paycut.
Utter cunts.
It’s that difficult decision facing nurses. If they dropped tools and walked out en masse, the disruption across the country would be colossal. The problem is, it would directly hurt the patient. And cunts like the Tories know this. Stuck between a rock and a hard place. To get such a shafting by the government considering the utter hell a lot of nurses went through the last couple of years just boils my blood. I say walk, enoughs enough.
ITs tHe deEp NHS!! ^/s
Will be teachers next as well.
I know a lot of nurses will feel guilty at the thought of going on strike and the harm this can/will do to patients. But i think it is really important that they think hard about this and what signal it sends to the government. If the government continue to underfunded the NHS and it’s staff then the service will continue to get worse and more patients will be put at risk in the Long run. It’s not greed to get what you deserve and it’s not selfish to be concerned about the direction of supporting (or not as the case may be) the nhs
I am now in a role where I can strike on behalf of my colleagues. They can shove their Thursday night clapping up their arses and pay us fairly. Enough is enough.
Work in private health care like my wife does, plenty of money on offer. The problem is government regulation, costs loads to keep useless people in pointless jobs.
As a doctor I’m happy to support my nursing colleagues to strike.
I swear that if they go for strike and the general public blames them I am gonna have an aneurysm
Please vote to strike. Do it for the patients as this the end of the National Health Service. For the slight discomfort now a health system like American is a death sentence. Please vote to strike.
To actually restore pay to pre 2010, healthcare professionals would need a 30% pay rise. That along with covid, this country has treated its medics and nurses like trash and deserve everything coming it’s way.
Can you blame anyone thesedays
Don’t we all agree that hardworking CEO’s and bankers need their above inflation pay rises more than nurses? It is obvious that any money given to NHS workers will fuel an inflationary spiral but the magic money fairies stops this from happening if a pay rise is awarded to anyone on a 6 or 7 digit salary.
They better stroke for a week.
People won’t get on their side until they either see how bad it is inside the NHS or they see the impact of a further degraded NHS.
A nurse said it best on the news yesterday when she asked “Why should I not be able to buy a home?” and “Why do I not deserve a good quality of life?” If nurses are so vital to society then should we not be paying them a good amount for that service? It’s not an easy job and requires a level of skill many could not achieve, not to mention the emotional toll of the job. Anyone who disagrees that nurses deserve a pay rise should be prepared to answer those two questions and tell nurses that to their faces.
So I am really sick with Long Covid ( still housebound 9 months later) and I rely on the NHS a lot.
I ABSOLUTELY support these nurses and they all deserve a HUGE pay rise, they better bloody well get it!!!
You nurses better get voting Yes.
Public sector needs to say a big fuck you to the constant lack of respect and decency.
Im behind you.
Good for them. I don’t see why everyone’s wages are frozen solid while the CEOs and the rich get richer. It’s absolutely not right. What’s the Tory carcrash governments end game? Are they just seeing how far they can push us? How much they can squeeze?
Really hope this all reaches the point of a general strike.
It seemed in the past when an industry threatened to strike, people would have been like ‘I can’t believe rail workers are striking, how will I get to work?’ as an example.
Nowadays, it feels like each and every strike is ‘Normal people vs the shit-cunt disgrace Tories’ and I am all for these fucking strikes. I’d fucking love to rip Boris out of Parliament by the scruff of his fucking neck, but I can but hope.
Point to note: I’m also taking a pay cut as a result of these changes. We’re taking a bigger one than NHS but we’re accustomed to it.
