What’s it like for an expat here? Truth revealed as Ireland ranks among worst-rated countries Tags:ireland 8 comments Not surprised in the slightest Such a rubbish survey tbh. Less than 12,000 respondents but like, living in 181 countries. Like, thousands of responses we just for the US alone and you’ll have a handful or replies or maybe just one or two for a load of countries. Not that survey is inherently wrong, but it’s just messy and not able to stand up to statistical comparisons. They would probably be better received if they admitted they were immigrants instead of insisting on being called ‘expats’. It’s probably still better than here. But I suppose the Mexican food absolutely fucking sucks. “What’s it like for an expat here?” First of all we are not expats we are immigrants – pet peeve of mine, sorry. Second, Ireland is fine. Sure, there are areas that need improvement, but which country is perfect? I live here for almost 22 years, which is longer than I lived in Austria, my country of birth. All being said, Ireland is grand, I lived in worse places. Hate the word expat, that’s all I have to say finally something we are shit at! Last week the TheLocal.de was saying the same about Germany. These kind of articles are just click bait. Leave a ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
