    Good old COVID strikes again.

    > “I used to be a billionaire,” ABP founder Xu Weiping told the Guardian in 2020, “but not any more. The virus is only one of the reasons. Brexit has caused a lot of my UK assets to depreciate.” Documents filed with Companies House in December last year show ABP made a loss of £13.2m in 2020, more than 10 times as much as in 2019, and had financial liabilities of £14.5m.

One advantage of foreign investors I guess, when they fail it’s their money down the pan.

This is so sad. How will he ever recover 🙄

  3. God that looks like a de chirico painting in an even more disturbing and empty way. And who knew that Brexit would destroy the previous aspirations of the man who ushered it in. Not that he cares about anything, at all, except himself. Git.

This ain’t china my friend. No one that can afford to pay rent wants to live in a 3m x 3m.

They aren’t even trying to hide the fact that they think of workers as mere drones anymore. We’ve solved the commuting traffic problems! Now workers no longer need a home, we’ve solved the cost of living crisis by removing rent and mortgage payments*but we’ll be taking some rent out of your meagre pay*, all is well! Now your work is your home!

You will be assigned 3 hours per day for sleep and 20 minutes per day for toilet activities. You will be given food based upon your work output.

  6. >Xu launched a last-ditch plan to convert the 21 offices he had built so far into 2,000 self-contained, covid-proof micro pods. “Inside this cube, the person can do their work but also have a rest and relax,” he said. “Each cube is equipped with a multifunctional wall, including a coffee maker, a mini fridge and a day bed,” **designed so that workers would never have to leave their 3m x 3m capsule**.
    .

    /r/latestagecapitalism shit right here.

  7. Good businesses adapted to COVID, weathered the storm and are getting back to normal. If this is failing then it is clear it is not a good business, at least not anymore. They need to do what any good business leader would do: cut their losses and move onto their next venture.

  8. Everything BoJo touches turns to shut he is the King Midas version of poop 💩 remember the garden bridge ?
