Sounds good and all, but what if the majority votes against?
Letting the majority decide on the fundamental dignity and rights of a minority is incompatible with a free society
This’ll put to bed for sure if it’s Orban who’s the problem when it comes to liberalism and democracy or Hungarians themselves.
Looks like an attempt from Orban to turn the election into Gay supporters vs Us.
All this circlejercking in the comments.
My question without answer:
What if all issues passed? What then? They already had 1 Hungarian in a gey orgy. What if the whole country is waiting for a big ol orgy?
Its getting so obvious how authoritarian right-wingers just want to distract people from all their bullshit by creating imaginary bogeymen like the “evil gay conspiracy”. Its disappointing how many people fall for this nonsense….
Let’s all “democratically” vote about the rights of a minority.
Yeah. Makes sense.
At what point is the EU obligated to expel a member state for failing to uphold liberal democratic norms?
Good – Let the people decide directly, and not the government
Everyone loves democracy until other people don’t vote the way you don’t like.
