> broke her back and pelvis when she was in the army
Hmm.
Yeah in a few years insect burgers will be all the range.
“I spend £500 a month on petrol just taking the children to school, which is four miles away.”
20 days, 16 miles each, is 320 miles, using 250 litres, or 5mpg. What is she driving, a tank? Even a Hum V gets 12 mpg. And why is the school 4 miles away? Why is she driving? The council should provide transport if it is over 2 miles.
That being said, electricity and gas inflation are insane, and something needs to be done about it. No other country seems to be suffering quite like the UK. Maybe this “free market” mantra is not working, and more regulation is needed.
No one cares until it affects them. People have been struggling with austerity for years, but just got screamed at to stop being so lazy and get a 3rd job or have fewer kids by the majority of the population.
The c*nts are about to effectively cut the benefits of about 900k disabled people by forcing them on the UC.
UC will be less money for these people, but they’ll receive an additional amount to top it up to match their old benefit.
Sounds okay at first, but that additional payment will be reduced by the same amount the UC is increased each year.
So it’s a multi-year freeze on the benefit, depending on inflation it could be 5years or 20.
The bonus kick in the balls is it also incredibly easy to lose the top up in multiple different ways.
Luckily the Tories will cut taxes which will resolve this.
