Part of me genuinely doesn’t understand why we seem to struggle so much to pay for the NHS when other countries seem fine with free healthcare.
it’s how they did the extra police recruitment, refused to give the police extra funds and then they cut the fuck out of a load of police services to pay for the extra staff.

The Government has been literally gutting the NHS for the last decade. Now they’re blaming nurses for a thing the Tories already intended to do.

Private companies are starting to leech off the pathetic funding. Fuck you and fund the one thing that makes Britain great. No money? As an NHS worker services are being “cut” sporadically as clinicians leave their profession in droves. Look at nursing vacancy rates. The headline assumes that we’re in some kind of functional steady state at the moment. The NHS is in ruins after Covid. It’s an ageing workforce. People are doing their sums and retiring, keeping their hand in with a few better-paid agency shifts a month.
