NHS in England could face ‘apocalyptic shortage of 140,000 NHS nurses’ by 2030

  1. Remember when Brexit would allow for the swarms of poor paid unemployed British people to reclaim their jobs?

Yeah… and now their asking nurses to effectively take a pay cut.

  2. Remember when everyone on Reddit wanted unvaccinated nurses to be sacked?

Seems like you guys were perfectly happy for a lack of nurses when it came to that

  3. We’re suffering now and have been for years. It is hard enough to get people into this profession with the loss of things such as the nursing bursary etc.

The amount of highly skilled and often very specialised staff we have lost is frightening. The loss of our EU national staff is just awful.

  4. The Government are now preparing to sack or medically retire up to 200,000 staff who caught Covid due to lack of PPE and safety protocol’s. A lot of the staff have become homeless due to lack of support. This Government and country are fucked without a revolution.

  5. Apocalyptic being the new buzzword now then? It was ‘the cost’ ‘crisis’ now… its the apocco. Jesus. Could it be any more extreme.

  6. What would you say has had the worst effect on the NHS staffing levels? Brexit and the loss of EU workers or the scrapping of student bursaries
