Wasn’t it written on the white guys chest as part of a party game by his black girlfriend? The game was something like, write the worst thing you can think of. I just vaguely remember this from when it first surfaced.
I must be missing something but a quote from 1 of them says
“At the beginning of the investigation, we felt that they would be taking it seriously because the people involved in the photo were suspended. But the quickness that they took to take to suspend us, it seemed like they were on their side,” she says.
“All we got was backlash and we kind of felt like we were the perpetrators because we brought it up,” Jemima adds.
The people in the photo got suspended but they kept asking about the incident and then decided to recirculate the image again. Recirculating the image got themselves suspended. Some things are missing here reading between the lines and maybe I have it all wrong but they didn’t like the punishment so tried to push it so it was more severe and went all out and broke the rules by posting the image again so got punished aswell.
Isn’t everything racist?
I remember when this first came out. IIRC these two ladies were suspended because their actions interfered with an internal investigation and brought the university’s name into disrepute.
