I got an email back today about my documents going straight into the High Court’s outgoing mail twice. Context in comments again.

I have the delivery record from An Post that proves the documents were delivered 3 times now.

  2. While your postage being bounced is a tragedy for you OP, the greatest crime against humanity in this is the use of the word “revert” instead of “reply” or “respond”.

You don’t revert a letter unless you’re actually going to go and restore it to an unused envelope, blank sheets of paper, and an unused stamp.

  3. I used to work in INIS and was one of the team that recorded our incoming post. We had a good system, but there was no standard system; each building did their own thing (and we had 200+ registered letters arriving each day – far more than anyone else, I think).

Looking at the tracking info… ugh.
I’m hoping there’s something on the envelope that is making them think “this is not for us”. Maybe they’re looking at the return address each time. Maybe the tray it ends up in is too close to the “outgoing” tray. Or maybe the service officer that moves the post around is putting it in the wrong place entirely (had that happen a few times…).

See if you can get the signature on An Post’s site. Call your local TD about this (it’s annoying how much influence they have, but they can get things moving faster).
