I really want to see this as a good thing but with all things we’ve done in this country recently we’re desperately trying to tackle the symptoms of deeper problems.
Drug users will always exist but whether they become a problem to society at large almost alway correlates to their proximity to deprivation.
Reduce deprivation and we reduce crime associated with drug use.
Boring as it sounds, this is one of those ideas that are good but it’s all down to implementation
Legalise cannabis might be a good start, take a huge market away from drug dealers

Sounds like something worth keeping an eye on. It doesn’t mention it in the article, but according to [this ](https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-problem-solving-courts-to-combat-drug-and-alcohol-fuelled-crime) it seems to be only available for female offenders.
