Some amount of people on twitter giving out that the highest temperature was at an airport so it shouldn’t count 😅
It truly is a clown show
Imagine having to be a fireman in this heat
Lot of grassland on fire. Maybe we should let more of them return to their natural state of being woodland.
I’m concerned that sky news are just playing the same aerial clip for the last hour. Was the airspace closed??
“Huge surge in fires” – that will be down to the elevated levels of CO2 in the atmosphere!😂
Looking forward to winter so we can forget about all this and then act surprised when it happens again next year.
Any idea what the reason is? 40 degrees is hot for us humans but not hot enough for things to spontaneously burst into flames. The sun isn’t any stronger than usual. Two days isn’t long enough for grass to completely dry out.
Is it just idiots with barbequeues?
Enjoy the sunshine eh, Mr Raab?
_London’s burning, London’s burning…_
15ish years ago when I was in secondary school, I remember one of my science teachers explaining about global warming and how we would end up seeing wildfires, crops failing, infrastructure crumbling. I just remember vividly how I just couldn’t believe it would happen, it just seemed unthinkable.
And here it is. Happening.
We need to do something about this.
I thought I was in r/collapse with all the doomsday comments…
Daily Mail: COINCIDENCE
Well hopefully it will move nearer the river eh
Great! Now the ‘Summer of 76’ people can shut up about us overreacting now
Awesome bring on the heat! Oorah!
I don’t think we’ve ever seen fires like this in the UK.
At this point, if you don’t believe in climate change, you’re just a dumb cunt with no hope (literally and figuratively).

It’s a good job Priti Patel made some tough new laws to get those crusty climate protestors off the roads – that really sorted out climate change! Lalalala I can’t hear you
What im interested to know is whether people still are going to think that cutting taxes is a priority when clearly taxes are what pay for things like the fire and rescue service.
Foreigner question…
What is “wild swimming”?
Guys, I’m really struggling here.

My mental health is not the best (I’m working on it) but everything happening is really really testing me. After COVID, everything is just getting worse and worse and worse.
Record inflation (exasperated by brexit and tories), record high unaffordable housing market, petrol through the roof, comically bad leadership.
Got a lot of stressful shit going on in personal life.
I’m just getting so done with everything, Just when you get over one thing, another thing comes. I’m exhausted mentally, tired and angry.
I’m just really struggling with everything.
Considering just how hot it felt, I’m sure standing in the middle of a fire would have been seen as a good way of cooling down!
Mate Dave down in the pub is saying he knows a lad from london and says there are no fires! Why would the government lie about this? Climate change agenda??
