They are unreal , better on a barbacue though i think
Cant stand fish, but Jesus it sure looks good. Yours too, enjoy!
Can smell them through my phone 🙂
Brilliant in a pasta bake
Mackerel can take spice really well. Throw in some chilli for a kick
I used to gorge on lidls mackerel in tomato sauce. My house mates kept complaining that they could smell my breath from across the living room, which kind of put me off it
Ah here. No cake?
Mackerel makes some damn good sashimi as well.
That looks tashty
Nothing better than mackerel straight from the sea fried off with some butter and onions…
Where’s me feathers, imma head out
Looks delicious. Some bang in the gaff for the rest of the day though!
I went mackerel fishing yesterday caught nothing this makes me feel bad 😂
I love mackerel, but it stinks up the place, luckily there’s a good seafood restaurant near me.
I love mackerel grilled with Dijon mustard spread on them.
Fresh caught mackerel is very under rated. Our local skipper will cook them on the boat minutes after being caught and they are delicious. Throw in a few new spuds with butter and it’s a feast. The ones in supermarkets have been caught weeks before they ever reach the shops.
Hahaha I can smell and taste it from the photo, looks amazing enjoy.
Nothing sticks to the walls, curtains and your clothes like the pungent stink of mackerel
Pro tip
Cook your fish outside as to not make your house smell like a brothel.

I do love it so much, especially smoked in a pasta but it stinks the house up!
Over 30 comments so far and all agree mackerel is amazing.
I do not, however. I love fish and cannot stand mackerel. I find the smell, texture and taste vile beyond belief. I only tried it again recently and the same result.
Looks like chicken tits
That’s why they call it the rasher of the sea, you’d eat your fingers after it.
Smell up the gaff tho🤢
I hate mackerel. It’s a pity because I think it’s one of the most healthiest fish you can have. Packed with the best and most natural forms of nutrition.
Mackerel pate on toasted wheaten, food of the gods
Poison, poison…. Tasty fish!
I have a freezer full of them from my week long fishing trip, defrosting some now in the fridge. Will join you on that!
If anyone wants a suggestion, mackerel marinated in teriyaki sauce and grilled is amazing.
Poor fish
I’d say your house smells like Captain Birdseyes armpit
Yes but no, Salmon ftw
When I was a lad we went out and did some fishing off Lambay. Every time we dropped the line we could bring up 4 or 5 mackerel. It was incredible and a lot of fun. We spent and hour filling shopping bags full of fish. We had so many my Dad just gave away two full bags of about 40 fish when we got back. The only down side was when we got home we still had 3 bags of these disgusting cunts to get through, and so started a 6 month period having these stinky fucks every fucking meal.
heartburn in a pan
Where do you get them?
Used to try fish for them – or anything – off the rocks and only ever caught a cold.
Fresh mackerel and pollock, dipped in flour and fried in butter.. you cannot beat it 👌
