London has one of the highest quality labour pools in the world, but if you don’t need it then there’s no point paying the premium.
Sounds like a parody of a headline you get on those women’s magazines.
I made the same decision 40 years ago when I left uni. There were a lot of jobs in London but plenty elsewhere so I decided to live somewhere I might reasonably be able to afford a decent place to live. I didn’t choose Leeds specifically, but it was the same motivation.
Surely a million people and businesses make the same decision every year? Hardly newsworthy.
