  1. Ms Greene sounds like a right old cunt. If I was the dogs owner I would just give the dog to friends for a few weeks and then just say that he ran away.

  2. Supposedly this woman is a Buddhist & peace commissioner. Settle it with the man ffs don’t go having his dog destroyed

  3. How sad. I would understand the need to destroy the dog if he killed the woman. It’s a small dog that can be easily reined in or be kept inside the house.

  4. Pretty sad case. I wonder does he get to say goodbye

The woman needed 8 stitches and wasn’t on his property so can’t argue with the dog being put down

  5. Just for context, I’m almost certain he’s withdrawn the High Court appeal because he was made aware it wasn’t the best route for this and there are other legal paths to take. It’s not a case that he’s withdrawing and accepting the euthanizing of the dog.

  6. Why is this the 4th time she has been bitten by a dog? That’s the big question here, is she antagonising the animals or looking for a payout?? Absolutely no chance a normal individual gets bitten 4 times by separate dogs over their lifetime unless they are doing something to provoke the animal. My father used to read meters for the ESB, he called to thousands of homes with thousands of different dogs…. he got bitten once. That was by a poor blind dog that he surprised by walking up on. Something not adding up here

  7. Breid Greene is, according to one news report, in her sixties. She’s had three dogs destroyed claiming she’s been bitten, and is trying for her fourth. I’m half her age, and I’ve not been bitten since I was 12 and went into someone’s front garden to retrieve a ball without asking. I’ve had zero dogs destroyed from biting.

What the hell is wrong with the woman that all these dogs attack her? It can’t just be bad luck – she must be doing something to them. Kim (the dog) is a terrier of some sort, so they’re yapping things – I’d say it came up to her, yapped and she tried to kick it, which is when Kim bit Ms Greene. If I’m correct, then Ms Greene deserved to be bitten. The owner lives in a rural location so probably didn’t take all the steps to keep Kim secure, but he’s offered to now. Ms Greene, if she doesn’t get off her high horse and let the dog live, deserves to be ostracised (or ‘cancelled’) for being a nasty vindictive person.

ETA: Donal (Kim’s owner) also said the same in an interview. Two of the dogs were from Boyle, and one from Athlone.

There are comments on Facebook that one dog who was put down belonged to a young boy, and his father called C103fm last week, and stated theirs was the third dog.

  8. I hate that they call putting a dog down destroyed in the leagl sense. It’s treating the dog like property rather than a pet / part of the family

  9. So apparently this is far from the first dog she’s had put down, but I can’t find any article mentioning this. Can anyone actually confirm that point with some form of proof?

  10. I saw this old prick on YouTube about this. He didn’t bother securing his entrance even after the dog had nearly all her legs broke because she runs out after cars and people. He should loose the dog but I don’t agree she should be put down and he should be charged

  11. Can’t believe the amount of sympathy that gowl of a woman has received on here. Then again, that’s r/Ireland I suppose.
