Beklager at jeg skriver i engelsk – jeg burde øve min norsk.

I have bought a flat in Bergen and I have a nice balcony where I have a flag holder [that looks like this ](https://www.obsbygg.no/hage-og-utemiljo/flagg-og-tilbehor/2344452?v=ObsBygg-7033432119005).

I have a flag that comes on a pole and I can put it on the support just fine.

My worry is that it’s going to fly off.
If you notice on the support, there’s a hole for a pin.
I don’t have any pin for it, and the flag pole has no hole for it.

Does anybody have any solution?

Thank you u_u

  1. Just find a bolt with a flat butt that fits and screw it in.
There’s only two more flag days left in 2022, the next one is 19th of August so you’ve got plenty of time to find a good one 👍

  2. I’ve personally never used a pin and never experienced the flag flying off, even when fairly windy, but might be more of an issue in places with extreme wind? I think as long as it’s fairly snug it should be fine without a pin

  3. “The pin hole” holds a machine/metal screw, think tight treads and blunt. There are some different sizes but you might have luck if you measure the size of the hole (diameter) and go to a clas Ohlson or a good hardware store and ask about a machine screw in that size. If you have an old computer cabinet ready to be thrown out you might find one there. The screw tightens against the pole and holds it firmly

Alternatively you try drilling a small hole in your pole and using just a wood screws maker than the hole in the holder.

But as others have said they don’t really fall out.

    Good luck.
