I think you have to get to near 50% to get into power.
Which it makes it look to me that its hard to get into power without FG or FF. But possibly you could combine lab, soc dems and a few others to bring up the total enough?

I would 100% support a SF/FF coalition. SF have the will and the mandate but outside their front bench the quality of candidate falls pretty sharply. They’ve been the opposition so long that there are quite a few contrarians in there that wouldnt survive as independents. FF would bring experience and knock a few of the rough edges off.
Really, people just want someone O’Broin for Housing. Doherty would probably get Health whether he likes it or not.
