We used to make fake IDs for colleges that didn’t exist, print then out, put a photo on them then head up to extra vision and ask the guy behind the count to laminate them for us. He never refused.
Good times, then Dublin for strict just before I turned 18. Strange I had not problem getting served from 15-17 then struggled fir a few months before being old enough.
Kinda miss when I worked there at times XD
The memories of going into Dublin bus office on o connell street to get my real adult Id when I was sixteen… Was so easy
I still have mine! I even still have my woggle from cubs.
The excitement of getting a SNES game after school on a Friday. Sometimes I’d be allowed rent it for 2 nights instead of 1 ☺️
I troll my offspring by telling them that a small village in the west of Ireland had more movie choice in the extra vision DVD era than all the streaming platforms today.
“Progress my arse” I opine.
Then I go out and shout at clouds.
Class. Remember getting my new card and renting ‘fast and the furious’ on video cassette recorder. VHS version. Stereo sound. Yep amazing times op
“Sorry mate, you’re far too old. There’s bingo down the road in the old people’s home”
