Russia pays for people to propagandise on their behalf. They don’t expect to push people to their side, they just want there to be enough debate that it makes taking a side more difficult.

I haven’t read it, but a few thoughts:
– this is from 2014. There were genuinely good reasons why Crimea should be Russian – principally, a population which largely identified as Russian. But that’s not to defend the way Russia went about grabbing it, or the proxy wars in Eastern Ukraine.
– if this is meant to be a deflection to Sabina’s letter, my main issue with that one is publishing it on an official state website. That was thick. People are allowed “bad” or naive opinions, and others can criticise them.
