Wel klagen als een postNL/Bpost/DPD/… busje zich niet aan de snelheid houdt, maar zelf aan 50km/u vlammen.
Ik duim dat de agenten stevig controleren of het is een maat voor niets.

Looking at the Hasselt city centre I’d be surprised if cars could actually reach speeds higher than 20km/h; single-lane roads that are short and bendy with intersections and crossings everywhere. Most streets aren’t even wide enough to overtake a cyclist.
With the (re-)merging of sidewalks and roads it’ll be interesting to see how street design evolves. Will curbs and lanes fade away into a large walkable areas [where human being and car coexist peacefully](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20Jcrk6jGfo)?

Komaan seg, 20 is nu toch wel enorm traag. Gaan ze dan ook fietsers controleren of flitsen zoals in Canada? Man man… ik gebruik mijn wagen amper en kom er nooit mee in een stad. Ik rij zo goed als altijd met de fiets en in een zone 30 is het veilig genoeg. 20 per uur gaat het toch gevaarlijker maken, dan is 80% van de fietsers sneller dan een wagen.

Not a bad measure. Hasselt has a nice clean layout via the rings and there’s no reason to drive through.
The diameter of the kleine ring is 800m.
At 20km/h, this will take you 2.4 minutes to traverse the entirety of the zone 20.
At 50km/h, this would be 0.96 minutes.
This means you lose 1.44 minutes, which is 86 seconds. To go from one sode to the other.
Now tell me again how much tthis will hinder you.

Ben benieuwd wanneer we nieuws gaan kregen over het aantal bestuurders dat op hun gsm zit. Dat wordt vast beter als je max 20 mag.
Maar ik weet zeker dat dit geweldig idee veel bijval zal kennen: van iedereen die niet in Hasselt of Gent woont.
