iirc it was the Omlop Het Nieuwsblad a few years back, yes it happend. It was poor planning of the races. When people who have no knowledge in cycling it tends to be taken out of context.

After reading the comments, which did a good job explaining what happened. I’ve decided to downvote this post because it’s just fueling anger for no reason.
Organizers do dumb mistakes sometimes. This is not a “man v woman” issue. This is a: “Organizers need to do better” issue.
