IDGAF about FC De Kampioenen, but I think the VRT censor is missing the point. Shows like FCDK use stereotyping as a form of humour because it is controversial and funny, not because they believe it. It is the same as a comedian saying something that would be very offensive outside of a comedic performance.
Though most likely VRT realizes this but just doesn’t want the controversy, and they think the controversy of censoring them will be less bad than showing them.
If you disagree, remember they also did this to Fawlty Towers, censored because of racism. Imo one of the finest peaces of comedy ever created. Maybe easier to see/understand compared to the shitty FCDK.
